The Calling
Over a year ago God began shaping a vision in three different families not unlike the vision the Apostle Paul received from God to leave Troas and head to Macedonia to plant a church (Acts 16:6-13). The following are a few reasons Madison is a strategic place for this calling to take shape in the planting of a new church.
The city of Madison, Wisconsin is a university town located in south central Wisconsin. It is…
- Home to the University of Wisconsin with over 40,000 students including nearly 4,000 internationals.
- 4% Evangelical; in the city of Madison alone well over 200,000 people are not attending an Evangelical church.
- State Capital of Wisconsin
Madison is a city filled with “grass-root elites” who will be a shaping force in tomorrow’s national and global landscape. Companies like “Google” chose Madison for their mid-west division because of the, “high quality of life and talent in the area.”
Awards given to Madison in 2009:
- Forbes Magazine: #2 best place to begin a career
- CNN Money: 4th best place to live in the nation (Middleton)
- Next Generation Consulting: #1 mid-sized city for young people to live and work.
